Gov Yahaya Bello Finally Speaks On Allegation Of Appointing New Caretaker Committees For LG
Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, on Sunday finally spoke on the allegation that he is planning that appoint new caretaker committe for local after sacking the previous last week which he appointed in 2016.
The governor who made this known on Saturday in a statement by his Commissioner of Information said, as a governor who has been promoting Nigeria constitution he will not do anything that will contravene the constitution of Nigeria.
According to thee governor, he has no plan to appoint another caretaker committee to be in charge of the local government adding that his government is fully ready to conduct local government election recognized by the constitution of Nigeria.
The governor added that he has been a promoter of the constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria, that he will no longer do things that are not inline with the constitution of the country.
According to him, the setting up of State Independent Electoral Commission by his government has demonstrated the readiness to conduct local government free and fair local government election in the state to enable the people yo use their free will of who governs them at the local government level.
