Tragedy In Okene As Man Kills Pregnant Woman With Scissors
In what could be described as a total tragedy in Idogido community area of Okene Local Government Area of Kogi state on Monday when a man simplified identified as Hussain Zubairu allegedly killed a pregnant woman, Bose Muhammed with scissors.
In a swift reaction, the Kogi State Police Command has arrested the suspected Hussain Zubairu, for killing the deceased with scissors, Bose Muhammed over a mere disagreement.
According to eye witness who spoke on condition of anonymity, Hussain Zubairu and Bose Muhammed are neighbours at the Idogido area of Okene, adding that Zubair stabbed the pregnant woman over an argument on missing phone.
The source added that the deceased who was heavily pregnant was rushed to hospital in the areas but later died due to the too much bleeding.
The suspect who was later arrested by Okene Police Division is currently being remanded in Police station while the deceased was buried according to Islamic rites.
Confirming the ugly incident, the Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, William Aya said the case has been transfered to the Department of Criminal Investigation, noting that the suspect will soon be charged to court to face the wrath of the law after investigation.
