Drama As Outlaw Beggars Protest, Demand For Right To Beg (Watch Video)
A video of Outlawed beggars who took to the street of Lagos state to protest against the ban to beg by governor Sanwo-Olu has emerged on the internet.
In the video shared on Facebook by Abubakar ES Ozioto, the outlawed beggars were seen in their hundred chantng and calling governor Sanwo-Olu to give them their right to beg and seek for their daily need.
Recall that their has been ongoing move in the country to reduce the high number of street beggars in the major cities of the country, a move that has led to the banning of street begging in Nasarawa and Kano state and recently Lagos state.
While the beggars were advised to take vocational street and rather live an independent life without seeking for alms before they could meet their daily meet, many Nigerians who spoke to us however, felt that the government has not done anything tangible to help the physically challenged people who are are left with no choice to beg because of their conditions.
