At Last Ganduje Dethrones Emir Sanusi

After what appears to be power play between the Emir of Kano,
Muhammad Sanusi II and the Kano state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, the governor has finally dethrone the Emir.

The shocking declaration which was made by the Director-General, Media and Communication to the Kano State Government, Salihu Yakasai disclosed in his twittle handle @Dawisu on Monday that the Mano State Executive Council has agreed  and approved that the Kano State Emir, Muhammad Sanusi II be dethroned at a special sitting the council held on Monday.

Until the sudden dethronement, Sanusi ascended the highest throne of the Kano Monarch in 2014 sequel to the death of his granduncle, Ado Bayero.

It could be recalled that Sanusi grandfather, Muhammadu Sanusi ruled Kano between 1953 to 1963, and was also dethroned by the then Premier of the North
Ahmmadu Bello, his father Aminu Sanusi was also a Ciroma of Kano.

Recall that Sanusi's problem with Ganduje started when the governor could not handle the Emir's constant criticism of his administration and his alleged support for the PDP during the last governorship election in the state.
