Surprising Facts About Ondo Bank Robbery

More revelations have emerged from the bank robbery in Oluji/Oke-Igbo Local Government Area of Ondo on Thursday that left four people dead and paralyzed commercial activities in the community.

What is most surprising about the bank robbery is that; the robbers came into the ancient town of Oluji in Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, a community that was known for peace and crime free to rob First Bank Plc and Polaris Bank Plc unchallenged.

The robbers who robbed the two banks unchallenged left the once peaceful Ile-Oluji with blood on the street as the families of the people killed continued to wail and mourn the unexpected deaths of their kinsmen.

The question the people of the community and the entire Nigerians continued to ask is the level of courage and onslaughts with which the armed robbers robbed the banks, raided the community and left unchallenged.

Though, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 11, which comprises Ondo, Osun and Oyo States, Bashir Makama visited the scene of the bank robbery in the community and sympathized with the families of the four people who were gruesomely murdered.

The million questions will be the fate of the people if such onslaught can go unchallenged without being intercepted.
An eye witness had narrated that the four people killed included two policemen attached to the banks, adding that it took 20minutes for a team of armed policemen and soldiers to arrive the scene after the robbers had left.

The people of the community who are still in shuck keep their shops under lock because of the fear of the bandits.
