Kogi Community Begins Process to Remove Traditional Ruler
The people of Oworo in Kogi Local Government Area of Kogi State has petitioned the Kogi State House of Assembly, to dethrone the traditional ruler of the land, the Olu of Oworo land, Adoga Muhammed Baiyerohi.
The petition submitted by the Iwomasi ruling house of Oworo Kingdom was read by the member representing Lokoja II State Constituencu, Idris Ndako, saying the call to remove the Olu of Oworo was to prevent imminent crisis in the land.
The petitioned had alleged that the traditional ruler desecrated the stool of Oworo Kingdom, alleging further that the traditional ruler has become a tool of disaffection between communities in the kingdom.
