Another Woman Sentences to Death By Hanging For Killing Husband
Another woman has a been sentenced to death by hanging in Nigeria for killing husband over suspected infidelity.
The Kano State High Court on Friday sentenced a 35-year-old woman, Rashida Saidu to death by hanging for pushing her husband, a 53-year-old, Mr Adamu Ali, from staircase to death.
Rashida Saidu who lived with her late husband at Dorayi Quarters Kano, pushed her husband to death from their staircase during a fight when she suspected her late husband was communication with another woman on phone.
According to the prosecuting Counsel, Mrs Maryam Jibrin,
53-year-old, Mr Adamu Ali
a lecturer at Federal College of Education, Kano, died as a result of the injury he sustained.
After listening to the Counsels of the Convict, Mr Illiya Dauda, who denied the allegation that his client has a hand in her husband death, the presiding Judge,Justice A.T. however, held that the prosecuting Counsel has proven her case beyond reasonable death and sentenced the accused to death by hanging.
