Okovi Clan Endorses Okene Administrator For Chairmanship Seat
chairmanship ambition of Okene Local Government Administrator, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad received another boost as the leadership of the seven clans of Okovi descendants endorsed his aspiration.
The clan leaders made this known when they paid the Administrator a courtesy visit on Monday.
The commended his style of leadership, adding that the council boss has performed excellently well and deserve to be elected back to office as Executive Chairman.
In a letter of endorsement presented to the Council Administrator by the National Chairmen of the seven clans of Okovi descendants, the forum maintained that their desire to support the Chairmanship ambition of Hon. Abdulrazaq were born out of his efforts to transform the Council to a more habitable environment for the citizenry.
According to the clan leaders, Hon. Abdulrazaq has consistently pilot the affairs of the Council and maintained security of lives and property, making Okene one of the safest towns in Kogi State.
In his address, the leader of the forum and Chairman of Asuwe clan, Mall. Yahaya Amaja assured the Council Administrator that the entire Okovi sons and daughters have resolved to rally round him and ensure his ambition becomes a reality.
According to him, the good records of Hon. Abdulrazaq speaks volume.
“He is a result oriented politician, humble and intelligent, hence, we have come to identify with the man of the moment.
“Sequel to your good administration, we, the entire Okovi clans hereby endorse your candidature as the next elected Chairman of Okene Local Government in the forth coming Council election,” the letter read.
Responding, the elated Council Administrator thanked the leadership of the revered Okovi forum and assured them that his government will not rest on it oars but will do more if elected as the Executive Chairman of the Council.
He promised to run an open door administration where every one will be given equal opportunity in government.
In attendance were Mall. Yahaya Amaja (Chairman of Asuwe Clan), Comrade Ibrahim Ohindase (Chairman of Omavi Clan), Mr Ezekiel Balogun (Chairman of Ewure Clan), Mall. Abdulrahaman Sadiq (Chairman of Ehebe Clan), Alh. Salihu Otaru (Chairman of Omoye Clan), Alh. Adinoyi Idoma (Chairman of Adobe Clan) and Abdulrahaman Amehuani (Chairman of Eyire Clan).
