Why Lagosians Still Want Ambode Depsite Sanwo-Olu's Efforts
Despite the efforts of the current governor of Lagos State Sanwo-Olu to transform the state to a desired Nigeria mega city,
the people of Lagos state still sis they could have back the former governor of the State, Akinwunmi Ambode.
The reason why many Lagosians still want the former governor of the state may not be far fetched especially now that the residents of the state continued to embark of trekking marathon due to the ban on 'Okada and Keke Napep'.
Whole ruling Lagos State, Aambode tried to leave legacy project that will take time to beat and he never saw the activities of Okoadas and Keke napep as an obstruction to his ideal kind of transformation.
Ambode started the world class Oshodi Transport Interchange Project which has 18 lifts, six each for the three terminals that are equipped with CCTV. The capacity was designed in such a way that it has the capacity for commuters to predict when a bus would arrive or leave the terminal.
Before he left office, Ambode also completed the Eko Centre Concept and upgraded the popular Ayinke Maternity Centre-home of babies in the Lagos State Teaching Hospital from 80-bed to 170-bed high class birth delivery hospital amongst several others numerous to mention.
If there is anything Lagosian are missing about the former governor, its his transformation agenda approach which doesn't kick the Okadas and Keke Napep out of space.
On the other hand, Sanwo-Olu is trying but it must take time for the people to understand his approach to transformation especially now that the governor banned the activities of Okada and keke Napep which are used mostly by low income earners in the affected fifteen Local Government Areas.
