Kogi PDP Guber Ticket: Abubakar Ibrahim Describes Supreme Court Defeat The Will Of Allah

The runner up of PDP governorship primaries for November 16, gubernoteial election in Kogi State, Abubakar Ibrahim, has described his Friday  Supreme Court defeat in a preelection matter he instituted against Musa Wada as the will of Allah.

Reacting to Friday judgment where Supreme Court dismissed his petition against Musa Wada for lack of merit, Ibrahim said his reason of taking the case up to the apex court was to strengthen internal democracy, adding that his insistence to seek for redress was not born out of malice for the winner of the governorship primaries but a genuine desire to improve the country's democracy.

Ibrahim who called for calm amongst his supporters, said they should support the candidate of the party, Musa Wada, adding that it's time to move on.

Ibrahim described the Friday Supreme Court judgment that declared Wada the authentic candidate of PDP for November 16 governorship election in Kogi State as the will of Almighty, adding that he believed what is meant for him wil never miss him and what misses him was never meant for him.

He, however, dispelled the rumour making the round that he has decamped from PDP, explaining that he is still a card carrying member of PDP.

Ibrahim had sued his party, PDP, and the winner of the September 3, 2019 governorships primaries, Musa Wada before Kogi High Court praying to be declared the winner of the governorship primaries having socred the highest number of valid votes.

After the primary election was nullified by Lokoja High Court, Ibrahim and Wada and approeched Appeal Court where Wada was declared the winner of the primamry election.

Dissatisfied with the judgment, Ibrahim took the case to Supreme Court where his case was dismissed and Musa Wada declared the authentic candidate  of the party for November 16, governorship election won by Governor Yahaya Bello of APC.
