I Remain Miss Ebira, Queen Lawal Oyiza Eunice Insists
The dethroned Queen Lawal Oyiza Eunice has insisted that she remains the authentic Miss Ebira Nigeria 2019/2020.
This is coming few hours after the Organizers of Miss Ebira Nigeria announced the second runner up the competition, Queen Umeche Monica Oshieza as the new Miss Ebira Nigeria following the dethronement of Queen Lawal Oyiza Eunice.
Queen Lawal Oyiza Eunice was dethroned last week by the organizers of the competition on allegations that have been widely flayed as frivolous.
In a swift reaction to the crowning of the first runner up of the competition by the Organizers, the embattled queen issued a press release insisting that she remains the Miss Ebira beauty pageant.

GENTLEMEN AND LADIES OF THE PRESS,
My attention have been drawn to an online publication by the organisers of MISS EBIRA BEAUTY PAGEANT NIGERIA, (MEBPN) on the subject; DETHRONEMENT OF MISS EBIRA NIGERIA 2019/2020, Queen LAWAL OYIZA EUNICE. The excuses given by MEBPN include, fragrance disregard and humiliation of officials, management of the organization.
It is pertinent to note that the excuses given above by the organisers of MEBPN are so flimsy and watery which can not be substantiated with any obvious proof.
I also want to let the general public know that there is no Rules and Guidelines of MEBPN that back or gives room for dethronement known to me, in other words, i have never set my eyes on any MEBPN Rules and Guidelines to that effect. All the excuses given by the organisers of MEBPN contained in their publication are false and untrue. It is worthy to note that there is a particular interest they are driving at which they are yet to tell the public.
Against this backdrop however, i wish to inform the good people of Ebira land, the organisers of Beauty Pageant at all level, the Kogi State Government, All the Security Agencies, Civil Society Organizations, Human Rights Organisations, concerned individuals, sympathizers and the general public that against all odds, i, Queen LAWAL OYIZA EUNICE, with due respect wish to inform you that i remain the MISS EBIRA NIGERIA 2019/2020 and i am still in possession of my certificate of Return, my crown and my car 'PRIZE' given to me as the winner of the contest in December, 2019 and my tenure is barely Six months out of the One Year tenure.
Section 36 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has the relevant provisions for Fair
Hearing and states as follows:
Section 36 (1) - In the determination of his Civil Rights and Obligations, including any question or
determination by or against any Government or Authority, a person shall be entitled to a fair hearing within a reasonable time by a Court or other Tribunal established by Law and constituted in such manner
as to secure its independence and impartiality.
Section 35 (5) - Every person who is charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until
proved guilty.
Section 36 (6) - Every person who is charged with a criminal offence shall be entitled to -
(a) be informed promptly in the language that he understands, and in detail the nature of the offence;
(b) be given adequate time and facilities for the preparation of his/her defense;
(c) defend himself in person or by Legal Practitioners of his own choice;
(d) examine in person or by his Legal Practitioners the witnesses called by the Prosecution before any Court or Tribunal and obtain attendance and carry out the examination of witnesses to testify on his behalf before the Court or Tribunal on the same conditions as those applying to the Witnesses called by
the Prosecution;....." (Nigeria Constitution 1999 as amended).
There is no constituted authority that has invited me for Trial or a fair hearing over the accusation they laid against me and my office and having Nigeria Constitution as Supremacy over every other laws in Nigeria, i therefore wish to state categorically that the purported Dethronement of my office as the current (QUEEN) MISS EBIRA NIGERIA is null and void and should be disregarded in it's entirety.
In a similar vein, i wish to call on my supporters, fans, family members and the general public that concerted efforts are being put in place by my office as the current MISS EBIRA QUEEN, some HUMAN RIGHTS ORGANISATIONS, Concerned civil society volunteers and individuals to stop this ill fated misappropriation of justice put in place by members of MEBPN Organisers.
Finally, in my capacity as the current Miss Ebira Nigeria 2019/2020, i wish to inform the Nigeria Police Force, the DSS, NCDSC and all other security agencies to apprehend and prosecute any other person that will parade herself as the Miss Ebira Nigeria as my office remains intact.
