Ex Kogi Commissioner, Ohikere Calls For Removal Of Attah Igala As Chairman Kogi Traditional Council

Former Commissioner for Information in Kogi State, Dr. Tom Ohikere, has called for the review and removal of Attah Igala, HRH, Michael Ameh Oboni II, as the Chairman of Kogi State Council of Traditional Rulers.

The former commissioner who is also a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state, made the call through his Facebook page while reacting to the recent judgment of the Lokoja Federal High Court which make Ajaokuta, Lokoja and Koton Karfe as part of Igala Kingdom in a case instituted by the Attah Igala against the federal government of Nigeria.

Tom Ohikere who hails from Ebiraland, Kogi Central senatorial district has since been criticizing the judgment of the Lokoja Federal High Court in series of Facebook posts, describing the judgment as "annexation".

His recent call for the removal of Attah Igala  who instituted the case from his current position as Chairman of Kogi State Traditional Council came a day after Governor Yahaya Bello warned that his administration will go after anybody who promotes ethnic disunity and imperialism in the state.

Different reactions has since trailed the judgment of the Lokoja Federal High Court, as the people of Kogi Central and Kogi West called the judgment a joke that will never stand the test of time and vowed to appeal the judgment.
