Drama As Ondo CP Blocks Deputy Gov From Leaving Govt House

A drama ensued on Saturday night at the Ondo State Government House, Alagbaka Akure, the state capital, as the state Deputy Governor, Mr Agboola Ajayi, was prevented from leaving the government house with his official vehicle, by the state Police Commissioner, Mr Bolaji Salami.
The development was not unconnected with the ongoing rift between the deputy governor and Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, which has led Ajayi purportedly planning to dump the All Progressives Congress for the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party.
In a 41 seconds video which had gone viral, the CP was seen standing in front of the deputy governor, telling him he would not allow him (Ajayi) to leave the government house.
The CP said in the video, “You have defected, your letter has been brought to my office.”
Ajayi replied, “If I have defected, what is your own? CP, are you the chairman of APC, are you the chairman of PDP? What is your concern if I defect?
