Hon. Idris Jimoh Jolly: The Mark Of A True Leader | By Isah Bala

As the age long Ebira axiom holds, "hope never dies even if it's just one person in a village of  hundreds who still holds on to the rope of altruism."
Hon. Idris Jimoh Jolly

While we hope to have leaders who truly care for the development of the people, Hon. Idris Jimoh Jolly appeared like the proverbial mother hen who puts its life and happiness to raise its chicks.

John C. Maxwell captured the altruism of   Hon. Jolly when he averred that, "The bottom line in leadership isn't how far we advance ourselves but how far we advance others."

There is no gainsay that there are still few exceptional politicians in this part of the world who live for others and ready to spend their hard-earned resources to advance others.

They justify the fact that being wealthy isn't about how much you have in your bank account but how much you are able to advance others and deliberately raise people to override your rides.

We still have few exceptional politicians with exceptional mien and Hon. Idris Jimoh Jolly is one of those stand out politician whose pledge mantra knows no tribe nor clan affiliation, his only focus is to build an ideal society where love, unity and injury for one will be seen as an injury for all.

He has touched many lives, and God has used him to give hope to the hopeless and offer support to those in need. I am a living testimony of his benevolence gesture, he assumed the position of father and friend when I thought the hope was fading away.

His is a true definition of true mark of a leader; a societal builder, a philanthropist, an altruist, all role in one and I would rather call him a father than any other name.

Adayi sir,  as you add another glorious year into the years you've spent on the surface of the earth, our fervent prayer for you on this special day is to live long to touch more lives and reap the fruit of your labour. More fruitful years sir. Posterity will live to reckon your altruism.
