Ramadan: Gov. Bello's Aide Donates 600 Bags of Rice, Beans to Okengwe Community

Governor Yahaya Bello's aide on education, Audu Yahaya Okumoh, has donated 600 bags of 10kg rice to Okengwe people in Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State to mark this year Democracy Day.



Okumoh who currently holds the political advisory position as Permanent Member 1 in Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), explained that the donation was part of his oversight political responsibilities to make his people at the grassroots feel the impact of democracy.

Scoring to him,  "apart from marking this year’s celebration, the handout was purposely made to bring succour and make life easy for the people in the ongoing Ramadan.

"The decision to share food item to my people was borne out of sincere desire to touch lives, the holy month of Ramadan which coincided with the occasion was also a month to always show love and kindness to people", he said.

He called on the people to form a stronger bond of love, unity, and support for one another, in order to ensure lasting growth and development of the area.
