Democaracy Day: Okehi Assembly Aspirant Charges Leaders to Bring Dividend of Democracy to the People

The President of Ebira Vonya International (EVI) and candidate aspiring for Kogi State House of Assembly, Okehi Constituency come 2019, Hon. Muhammad Itopa Siyaka (MIS), has commemorated with the people of Okehi Constituency and the entire good people of Ebira nation as Nigeria mark another democracy day.



In a statement issued through his media Aide Comr. Muhammad Bello (Abu-Faaiz), MIS urged all political office holders to use their office to bring the dividend of Democracy to the people, stating that political office is a trust not a right to be abused.

He condemned the act of some politicians who when they get to positions seek to enrich their pockets and forget the people that voted them there.

The Hon. said that Democracy by definition is "Government of the People, by the people and for the people" and as such the people deserves to feel the positive impact of Democracy in their lives and communities, not to be robbed by the people they have entrusted with positions.

He therefore advised all the stakeholders and politician in particular to play politics of peace and harmony, to see one others as one entity.

He also called on okehi people to give total support to Alhji Yahaya Bello for his efforts so far and pray for his continuity of his administration beyond 2020._

He pledged his undiluted love for the people an promised to bring positive development development to the good people of the Constituency if elected into office.
