May Day: Kogi NUT Chairman Hails Teachers’ Selflessness, Patriotism

The Kogi State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Comr. Thomas Ayodele has congratulated Kogi State Teachers on the occasion of this year’s Workers’ Day celebration, commended their selflessness and patriotism to duty.



The Chairman praised the Teachers for their sacrifices towards the wellbeing of the state, particularly at this critical time, when the country is battling against the spread and impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in our country.

Comr. Thomas said Teachers in the state have continued to exhibit unequalled patriotism, despite the daunting challenges in the overall effort to mitigate the poor remuneration of Teachers, described them as indeed the shining lights.

The Chairman praised the Teachers for standing as a strong voice for the entrenchment of good Governance, said as trainers of future leaders, they deserve prayers and God’s blessings.

The Chairman urged Teachers not to be deterred in their commitment towards building a virile society, wished the Teachers a happy Workers’ Day celebration.

  1. I salute the Teachers.We owe everything to them. From the outset, they have been at the forefront in our development.
    It's our hope that one day,our leaders will realize their misdeeds towards the Teachers and make corrections.
    Teachers trained leaders who sit on the platform of cruelty telling the teachers that their reward is in heaven while they enjoy their own here.
