Kogi Election Tribunal: More Anxiety As Tribunal Shifts Judgment By Two Hours

The battle between Musa Wada, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Kogi and Governor Yahaya Bello will be decided upon on today at the tribunal.



The Kogi state governorship election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja Going by a letter signed by the secretary of the tribunal, Umar Abubakar, says the trial will begin at 10am but has later shifted the timing by two hours, creating more apprehension.

For now it is all uncertain as to who Carry’s the day, while the hopes and expectations of both camps of Gov. Bello and Engr Wada remains high that victory would come there way.

Since the release of the date for judgement, Fear, apprehension and anxiety seems to have gripped the two camps of what the likely outcome would be.

The PDP is seeking to stop the declaration that Gov. Yahaya Bello is Governor, insisting that the Election was marred by widespread irregularities.

The APC is however not taken the allegations with kids gloves described the PDP as a bad loser after lossing woefully the last election.

The Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Bello, says his party and the governor, would emerge victorious, maintaining that the election was free fair and credible.

This was however not the thinking of the Camp of Wada, with Austin Okai insisting that the election was the worst witnessed in history of the state, said when the over and multiple voting as discovered through the forensic is subtracted, the PDP would emerge victorious I Saturday’s ruling.

For now all eyes is on the three man panel of justices led by Ibrahim Kaigama to determine where the pendulum swings. But before that it is done, fear has gripped the major Political actors who are all apprehensive of where the pendulum would swing to.
