I Will Work to Create Opportunities for Local Products in Kogi Central - Natasha
The senatorial candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP) for Kogi Central senatorial district, Barr. Natasha Akpoti on Wednesday, said she will work to create market opportunities for local products in Kogi Central to thrive.
Speaking in Ogori-Magongo local government ward to ward campaign, Akpoti said, employment can be created through local products if opportunities are created for the market to thrive.
"Ghana makes lots of its revenue from export through the production of straw hearts and other local products exported to European countries. We can do this, we can give value to our kitipa fabric and other local products.
"As a social entrepreneur, I will work to provide opportunities for Kogi Central local products and expose our local content to the world and give opportunities to our women, men and teeming youths.
"Entrust me with your mandates and let's walk together to expose our senatorial district to the world. I understand your pain and I promise to be the strongest voice Kogi Central ever had", she said
Akpoti explained that economic development is key to any nation and promotion of local content plays a great role in the development of any country's economy.
"This is the missing link in Nigeria, our local products is being neglected without being promoted. I am ready to work out opportunities for the people of Kogi Central and create markets opportunities for our local made products. ", she said.
According to her, the main reason she is in the race for Kogi Central senate is to eradicate poverty, and make sure the graduates, the dropout and illiterates have something to rely on for a living.
Natasha, however, explained that she cannot achieve it alone without the support of the masses, soliciting for the people's mandates and walk together to reposition Kogi Central senatorial district.
She said, "vote for me and make sure your votes are counted and protected, this election is one that will change our destiny. There's no need of complaining if you are not ready to make yourself available to be the change you want.
"We want to change the narrative of our land and work out of poverty. You are worth more than five thousand naira financial inducement at the polling units, let this election be the one with the largest turnout. Don't be afraid to vote for me and don't let your fear steal your future", she said.
The ward to ward campaign in Ogori-magongo local government which started from Ugugu to Obinoyi, Obatibe, Oturu Opou, Ileteju, Okesy, Okibo, Oshobane, Eni, and Ayiromi ward, saw a large turnout as people trooped out in their hundreds to welcome Natasha for being a voice when Kogi Central needs it most, declaring their unflinching supports for the Kogi Central SDP senatorial candidate.
