Breaking: APC Thugs Attack Natasha's Campaign in Idoji
Suspected APC thugs attacked Natasha's ward to ward Campaign in Idoji ward, Okene LG after the thugs had earlier burnt the canopies, chairs and injured old women and youths at the venue of the campaign.
The thugs who came out from their hideout in Idoji started throwing stones and other objects immediately they sighted the convoy of the SDP senatorial candidate.
Reacting, the Director General Natasha Akpoti Campaign Organisation, Muhammadu Sadiq said its unfortunate Kogi APC is hell bent on causing problems in their desperate bid to force their senatorial candidate on the good people of Kogi Central even when they have opportunity to campaign for their candidate.
He said, it is clear that Kogi APC has already accepted defeat even before the poll, the reason he said they resorted to violence and intimidation of the good people of Kogi Central who have every rights to choose whoever they want to represent them at the upper chamber.
He said, "My Idoji people don't let desperate politicians make you tool of destruction. Thank God for good people and the security officials who calmed the situation.
"Election is not war, let issue based campaign leads. We are brothers and sisters during and after election. If we are all for the development of Kogi Central senatorial district, why the violence and intimidation of the opposition parties? ", Sadiq said.
