APC Thugs on Rampage, Maiming, Destroying Houses of SDP Supporters in Ihima
In what could be termed as manifestation of alleged plan by Kogi APC to cause violence and tension in the eve of the general elections, APC thugs with the support of some security officials have launched a total crackdown on SDP supporters in Ihima.
OKehi Administrator and his thugs were said to be pained by the unimaginable turnout of electorates that welcome and declared their unflinching support for Natasha yesterday despite all the threats, the thugs who were alleged to have been ordered by the administrator to do everything possible to wipe out SDP supporters in Ihima launched a house to house attack on SDP supporters, burning down houses and shooting as many as possible.
As at the time of the press, not less than ten people have been shot while four of them are in critical condition and burnt down about thirteen houses while the attack is still ongoing in Obeiba axis of Ihima.
Speaking against the undemocratic practises Kogi APC and her footsoldiers have chosen to force her senatorial candidate on the good people of Kogi Central, Director General Natasha Campaign Organization, Muhammad Sadiq, said it's a strategy planned by Kogi APC to create tension in Ebiraland to scare people not to come out to exercise their franchise, adding that it's already clear that the APC Senatorial candidate in Kogi Central is far from winning tomorrow's poll.
He said, many of SDP supporters whose houses were burnt down by APC thugs have been arrested again this morning when the Administrator of Okehi local government, Abdulraheem Ohiare stormed Obeiba in company of some security officials to further unleash mayhem on the innocent people as part of their earlier plans.
He reminded Governor Yahaya Bello led administration that power is transient and as such should think of aftermath of their desperate bid to force Alhaji Yakubu Oseni on the good people of Kogi Central.
"If actually Kogi APC and her senatorial candidate in Kogi Central has the support of the people, there wouldn't have been need for this wanton mayhelm they've unleashed on the people who they seek to represent.
"We are in a democratic erra, the people have the will to choose whoever they want, why killing, maiming and destroying the properties of the people you want to represent.
"If they continue killing us for the simple crime of exercising our constitutional rights, who are they going to represent ? They've made the public to believe that Natasha's candidature is not a threat to them, and they continue killing and destroying properties because of the same person they claimed is not a threat, why not let the people decide and allow Natasha and her supporters rest?", he said.
