Kogi Central: Ihima Women Protest Against Violence by Kogi APC
Ihima women on Saturday protest the renewed political violence that has claimed the lives of not less than two people, more than thirty injured from gunshot and fifteen houses burnt in Obeiba axis of Ihima, OKehi LGA.
The women who came out in number took to the street of Ihima, protesting and calling for peace in the land and cursing the desperates politicians who sponsored the violence.
The women who booed the OKehi local government Administrator, Abdulraheem Ohiare in Obeiba for sponsoring the renewed political violence in Ihima, said enough is enough and wouldn't want more blood shed in their land.
Speaking on behalf of the women, Hajia Abisetu said the able bodied men killed in Obeiba since the sponsored violence by OKehi Administrator and Commissioner for water resources, Salami Ozigi is enough, adding that they don't want more of their children to be killed.
Abisetu added that they are ready to continue and carry the protest to the house of the Administrator in Eyika axis of OKehi if he continued to kill their children to scare the people of Ihima from voting for the SDP senatorial candidate for Kogi Central, Barr. Natasha Akpoti.
