Abubakar who is also the head of Fulani mobiliser for Natasha Akpoti Campaign Organisation was said to have been abducted on 2nd February along OKehi Local Government Secretariat Complex, Obangede for the simple crime of mobilising his people for the candidature of the SDP senatorial candidate.

In a facebook post by the Senatorial candidate of SDP for Kogi Central senatorial district, Barr. Natasha Akpoti alleged that the Administrator of Okehi local government called SARS from Lokoja unit to pick the boy to avoid the wrath of the Fulani communities in Ebiraland after keeping the boy in his private residence for three days, explaining that when the SARS refused to be used for political witch-hunt, he ran to soldiers stationed at governor Yahaya Bello's private residence in Okene GRA, adding that the soldiers gladly accepted and kept the innocent boy hostage until his release on Monday.

What, however, remained unclear is the reason the soldiers agreed to be used for political witch-hunting and kept the innocent boy hostage for ten days.

Usman is free

I deliberately kept Usman’s abduction away from the public’s eye due to it’s sensitive nature.

Usman as the head of the Fulani youths in Ebiraland has been and still is an unalloyed supporter of my candidature solely because of my non tribalistic embrace.

10 days ago, Usman was abducted by the Okehi Sole Administrator Mr. Abdulraheem Ohiare who kept him hostage in his residence.

3 days after his disappearance, the elders and relatives of the Fulani community approached Ohiare to release their son Usman. But the administrator Ohiare feigned ignorance of Usman.

Sensing the stupidity of his actions and the impending danger with the Fulani communities, Ohiare called on SARS to help detain Usman in their facility in Lokoja.

SARS refused.

Ohiare then turned to the army post opposite the Kogi State Governor’s house in GRA Okene . The army (for reasons best known to them, willingly received Usman from the Administrator and detained him until today.

Usman was released at 5:30pm today thanks to the efficiency of the Army Chiefs who frowned at the use of their offices for the furtherance of political hunts.

Indeed, Nigeria can be a better place when everyone plays by the Rule of Law.

God bless the Nigerian Army,

The Fulani communities in Ebiraland are eternally grateful .
