A Call for Barr. Natasha to Serve, Timely and Last Resort to See Kogi Central of our Dream | H. A. Bashir.
Democracy, and Democratic governance in particular means that people's rights are respected, promoted and fulfilled allowing them to live with dignity. People have a say in decisions that affect their lives and can hold decision-makers to account, base on inclusivenes, fair rules, institutions and practices that govern societal interactions.
With the landmark declaration by United Nations (UN) in 1948 which holds that all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights and the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women in 1979, women are now equal partners with men in public and private spheres of life as well as decision making.
Kogi Central as a senatorial district in Kogi State has not been so lucky after Senator A. T. Ahmed to have gold representative to actualize all the entailments of democracy. I may not capitalize on their failures to bring back to the populace of Kogi Central that entrusted them with their mandate but because of my believe for Albert Einstein's words that says "Any intelligent fool can make things bigger and more complex... It takes a touch of genius -a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction".
Therefore, switching these set of people with a luminary is of paramount importance to the electorates. A personality with all the prerequisites; competency, proficiency, leadership skills and a well-versed individual.
I have found an icon who is worthy enough to make Kogi Central glowing in the Hallow chamber of the National Assembly come 2019.
Natasha Akpoti is a stern believer of justice, equity and rule of law, a devotee of humanity services, a disciple of a better Nigeria for Nigerians and a woman who believe that going after a dream has a price. It may mean forsaking your conducts, it may make us go through destitutions, or it may lead us to disappointment. But however costly it maybe, it is at no time as high as the price paid by people who did not live. It is a celebrated datum that six hundred (600) children are under her primary school education scholarship for their entire stay in the primary school, it is also evidenced how this young philanthropist paid tuition fee for numerous students of higher institution across the nation and above all, how persistently she is fighting for resuscitation of Ajaokuta Steel Company Ltd for the betterment of the host community (Ebira) and the entire Nigeria populace. I may burden you if I want to continue the list.
Dear Barrister Natasha Akpoti, you may not be interested in politics maybe because of the existing players but I have a fear for Kogi Central of running a race of no victory if we keep running away from our problems. We can't risk another chance of having a better representative in the red chamber.
All my preceding attempts to convince you to answer this call were not fruitful as you incessantly refuted by saying Politics is not your primal objective that your struggle for Ajaokuta is for all Nigerians which you will not allow any political distractions but all I am saying is that your struggles can best be achieved if you handle an instrument of authority and your recent presentation during the public debate in the National Assembly is a clear indication to my proclamation.
Thanks as I anticipate your declaration to contest for SENATE2019.
