President Buhari commences payment of N5000 stipend to beneficiaries in Adavi LGA
In fulfilment of part of his electioneering campaigns,
President Muhammadu Buhari has commenced the payment of cash transfer programme of five thousand naira (₦5000) monthly stipend to the less privileges in Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Addressing the beneficiaries at the payment centre, the Administrator of Adavi LGA, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami, said he was very optimistic that the cash transfer programme would serve as a beckon of hope to many vulnerable people and also reduce poverty and hunger in no small measure from the nation, expressing his joy and happiness over the laudable innovation.
The Administrator was companied by some of his political office holders and the Acting APC party chairman, Hon Barnabas Oyibo.
Two months were combined and paid to the beneficiaries for this month.
The classes of people who benefited from the pilot project includes; widows, orphans and elderly women totalling about 1200 beneficiaries from Adavi LGA.
The Council Boss reiterated that, the programme as accomplished by his Excellency, president Muhammadu Buhari was very much estimable and should be appreciated by all the people of Adavi LGA, Kogi citizens and Nigerians populace at large.
The council boss layed more emphasis on the issue of PVC registration, that it should be taken very serious as that is the only instrument they can use to vote for President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello during the forthcoming general election comes 2019.
