Kogi CAN: We are Ready For Protest
The Kogi state chapter of the Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN), Saturday, disclosed that it was ready for the protest planned for today over killings of Christians in parts of the country.
Speaking to newsmen, the State chairman of the association, Bishop John Ibenu, said members across the 21 local government areas had been mobilised for the protest.
He maintained that letters had already been sent to the blocs that made up the state chapter for the protest.
While decrying the rate of killings across the country, the clergyman said serious efforts should be made to force the government to take action on the problems being faced by innocent citizens in the country.
He charged Christians in the state to come out and participate in the protest as a show of their opposition to the killings going on in the country.
