New Year: Natasha Calls For Unity, Sacrifice To Build A New Nigeria

The senatorial candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP) for Kogi Central senatorial district, Barr. Natasha Akpoti has called fellow Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of unity and sacrifice to building a new Nigeria.

Akpoti made the call in her new year message, saying unity in Nigeria's diversity and the zeal to sacrifice for a greater Nigeria are the springboard towards achieving a new Nigeria where justice, fairness and national consciousness will thrive.

According to her, the inability of Nigerians to see themselves as one irrespective of different divides contributed in no small measure to the current problems of Nigeria.

She maintained that the absence of sacrifice in the mindset of most Nigerians for the sake of Nigeria's development, peace and progress contributed to the fall of good governance in the country.

While calling for a change of mindset amongst fellow compatriots in the year 2019, Natasha said as a patriotic Nigerian, she will continue to do her best towards Nigeria's development.

While explaining the milestone she has achieved in the advocacy for Ajaokuta resuscitation, the SDP senatorial candidate stressed that, she will consolidate on the efforts when she gets to the National Assembly, adding that Ajaokuta holds the key to Nigeria industrialisation.

Natasha who is famous for championing the crusade for Ajaokuta revitalisation reached the peak of her advocacy on March 1st when she presented at the National Assembly, an exposed that revealed the ills surrounding the 12th steel plant in the world.

Natasha's expose led to the removal of Ajaokuta steel from the companies Nigeria can concession and the recent approval of one billion dollar completion fund for the giant steel plant, which are all part of her recommendations during her presentation in the hallowed chamber.
