Kogi: APC Thugs Attack, Kill Natasha's Supporter
The current political crisis in Kogi Central may not end any time soon as suspected APC thugs attacked and killed one of supporters of the SDP senatorial candidate, Barr. Natasha Akpoti.
An eyes witness who wished not to be named said, trouble started at about 9:00am on Friday when the suspected APC thugs attacked the peaceful street campaign of the SDP senatorial candidate in Ihima, OKehi local government and left the supporters with various degrees of injuries.
The source added that, in a way to further demonstrate their power, new guns were handed over to the thugs to launch house to house raid on Natasha's supporters.
The source explained that after handing over the guns to the thugs, they went on rampage at about 1:00am on Saturday, attacking Natasha's supporters houses and destroyed everything they could lay their hands and carterd away with money and other valuables.
According to the source, one of the supporters of Natasha identified as Ojo Enesi in Obeiba, Ihima was killed in the process.
The young Enesi who is in his mid 20s was said to have been shot repeatedly by the thugs.
The source further added that, while the attack was going on, they called the Area Commander of OKehi who bluntly told them that they cannot do anything even after given him money for fuel.
The source noted that the situation in the area is tensed and no arrest has been made as at the time of filling this report.
