Gov Bello Appoints Chemical Engineer as New Chief Press Secretary
Barely 24 hours after Petra Akinti Onyegbule resigned her appointment, the Kogi State Government has appointed Onogwu Mohammed as the new Chief Press Secretary of the state.
Secretary to the State Government, Folashade Arike Ayoade confirmed the appointment in a statement on Tuesday.
She stated that the appointment took immediate effect.
Ebira Reporters learnt that Mohammed the new CPS, is a Chemical Technology graduate from the University of Jos.
He had a two-month journalism training as an intern with Daily Trust Newspaper in 2018, from where he became the Editor-in-Chief of InsideStory, an online news platform said to be owned by the Chief of Staff to Kogi State Government, Edward Onoja.
Meanwhile, the State Government has also appointed Ogbodo Patience Yemi Senior Special Assistant to Governor on Multilateral and Donor Agencies; Sanusi Abdul Usman Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Duties Kogi East (Governor’s Office); and Ismail Onukoko Special Assistant to the Governor on Grassroots Connect Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituenc; amongst other re-allotments.
