Stay Focused, Group Tells Kogi Hajj Commission
Kogi Awareness Group (KAG) has called on the Kogi State Hajj Commission not to be distracted by people they referred to as the enemies of the state, but to remain focused in the discharge of its duty as prescribed by the edicts which set up the commission.
Recalled that a group, New Direction Watchdog, in letter purportedly written to the governor had alleged that the commission was engaged in activities which negates the Hajj Commission’s rules and regulations.
The KAG, in a statement signed by its chairman, Nasir Atadoga called on the public to discontenance such information from a group it described as faceless and some self serving individuals.
The group averred that the commission is now getting it right by operating in accordance with the rules and being re-positioned for effective service delivery to the state and pilgrims.
The group lamented that such faceless group could go to the extent of concocting figures to justify its false claim so as to turn the attention of the public to the commission negatively.
“The activities of the commission has become so transparent and in accordance with the rules that they were commended by the National Hajj Commission during the 2018 hajj exercise. This is an indication that the commission is now getting it right. We urged this faceless group to drop this idea of causing distraction and allow the commission to be more focused,” they said.
They advice those mischief makers to find something more meaningful to do, instead of finding fault where there is none.
