Great men and women of our great Okehi Local Government! His Excellency, it is my joy to extend this article to you to enable you apply wisdom in who you will choose or support to champion our dear and abused Local Government(Okehi). Our Local Government is currently gasping for life as a result of your past mistakes for imposing scandalous, unproductive and characterless administrator on us.
It is only In Okehi leaders who abuse, harass and lack public conduct parading himself as Governor anointed candidate in forthcoming local government election. But every tools and strategy will be deploy to avert this disaster if by any commission and omission the executive dance to his music. Okehi LG deserve a better than what we are having as a leader...
The people of Ihima get ready for me because a warrior whose house is not in order comeback home defeated despite his weapons and skill he possess...God Forbid.
Ladies and gentlemen, any time the opportunity of chosen a leader who will Shepherd the society was brought to us all manners of thing character began to manifest. The good people particularly ,ran into hidden for fear of being hurt because of the wickedness and deceitfulness in the system.. But I have come to tell you, especially the good people of Okehi Local government.
If you failed and allow this scandalous and human right abuser in the society to cling to power then be rest assure, you will serve him with your children, your gold and silver will be taken away from you, Peace and unity will be departed from your community, zoning as formally agreed between Eika and Ihima axis will be put to rest... Think Now
His Excellency, The Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, give me your listen ears. This is not about hatred as many have quoted, it is justice demand, good Governance for the people, and it is for your good as the head and father of the state.
Don't seat in Lugard house to take such decision or take the word of those who have already sold their voice for a token, but walk the street, ask the people who do they want and do according to the voice of the people... Bad governance begin from the manner and process which leaders is chosen.
Your government score 80% in human right abuse, supported by zero conduct and unproductive personality and most time they do not act according to your command or dictation but over zealous and arrogant cause them to do so and at the end your leadership is dent. His Excellency, all this happen just because you do not seek proper advice before given power to some set of people at the local government level. Thank God for the like of Engr Ohere and so many others who build friendship and earn you supporters...It could have been worst if they are all like what we have in Okehi as leader.
As a son and a progressive youth, I believe it is my primary and fundamental right to have an interest in who leads me if not for my sake but for the sake of our children. "It is said children who talk down their origin and show no interest in who should be their arrowhead end up install devil and arrogant leader whose destiny is to abuse and bankrupt the society and render them helpless." God forbid*. On this note I have come to speak to us as the Local government election draw closer and nearer because it is time to put head together to choose among us the best, fittest and most credible to lead us who will look into your New Direction policy and begin to work it out at the Local government level instead of doing otherwise.
Ladies and gentlemen, public office is good and interesting when men with ideas and vision are saddled with power. It will benefit everyone because good leaders attracted good people who will make sure they put everything within their possession to make it happen with him, but lazy and power abusers are not so. Instead, good people will distance themselves from such a leader but the painful part of it is that, the society and all her people suffer the consequences of bad leader. This must be put into consideration while we are shopping for the most credible, and the most fitted to lead the best of us.
Okehi has never been lucky though, and truth be told every past executive Chairmen have tried but their effort does not and never move us further...Most of them are richer than the local government herself. Hon Abdulkareem Ohiare Your Time Is Up, Okehi demand more capable hand, we can't keep producing the same kind of leaders and expect miracle to happen, No Sir.
The strength of the local government is the strength of the state government and the weakness of the local government is the weakness of the state government. And for both to live up their constitutional right, quality leaders must be install across the local government level.
They must be a Leaders who passion is to serve the people, leaders who will say, kill no one and hurt nobody because governance is not about tatatasim but progressing and development...
Your Excellency, I have two questions to ask you...Please, your sincere answer to this question speak more about your character and values...
Question 1
Your Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the executive Governor of Kogi State. Be honest with yourself, were you happy when those you saddled with public office came out publicly during your campaign to say kill anyone who vote any others opposes party or cut their fingers?
This single language should speak volume to you the kind of people you surrounded yourself with and let me remind you, that nothing goes for nothing, those who kill or hurt others for you will also soon or sooner, or someday hurt you for others when power changes hand...That is if they have not started doing so now for the sake of position...
Question 2
If Okehi was to be your private company and is been run the way Hon Abdulkareem Ohiare run Okehi Lg, will you be mind or passionate enough to extend his service?...If the above answer is NO, then think before entrusting him with the position of executive chairman of Okehi Local government.
Local government is the only channel that brings government close the the people and it must not be toyed with or handover to reckless personality who has been tested and confirmed to be power abuser and conductless in the society....
We the citizen of okehi Local Government is watching and soon we shall no longer speak in parable but plain talk.
