Fire Razes Okehi Cattle Market, Trailer Park
Fire outbreak has razed Kogi State Cattle Market and Trailer Park in Zango, Abobo in Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The unfortunate incidence which occurred at the early hour of Sunday started when Dangote company truck collided with a tanker lorry with loaded diesel products parked at the cattle and trailer park market along Lokoja-Abuja high way. The two trucks were burnt alongside several shops in the cattle market, killing one person.
The fire was later controlled by the help of Fire Service Department from Itakpe Iron and Steel company.
Speaking, the Administrator of the Local Government, Abdulraheem Ohiare called on the management of Dangote Company to educate and caution their drivers on reckless driving, prayed to God to repose the soul of the dead and create opportunities for the business owners who lost their investment in the fire incidence.
