BREAKING: Gov Bello Wins Double Registration Case

The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has struck out case against Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello for alleged double registration.

The court held that the plaintiff, Natasha Akpoti lacks locus standi to institute the matter in the first place, and that no matter how sensational she may think it is, it has utterly failed to confer on the court any grounds to entertain it.

It will be recalled that Miss Akpoti, candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the 2019 Kogi State Gubernatorial Elections had approached the court to disqualify the Governor from the polls on the ground that the governor was involved in double registration.

In his judgment this morning, Justice I. E Ekwo of Federal High Court 5, Abuja ruled the matter was dead on arrival.
