Ibaji Defies Odds to Show Unwavering Support for Natasha

The people of Ibaji local government have reemphasized their unalloyed support for the candidacy of Barr. Natasha H Akpoti for governor come November 16th.



They had, on Monday, defied the odds and challenges posed by the rising water levels and subsequent flooding of some parts of their land, to meet with the campaign team of Barr. Natasha Akpoti/Engr. Adams Khalid who paid them a working visit to appraise them of the true situation of events on ground and also encourage them to remain focused as the ticket remains the one to beat in the forthcoming elections.

The chairman of the SDP in Ibaji local government, Ugbaje  Johnson Kenneth
in a statement, reiterated the position of the good people of Ibaji as regards Natasha Akpoti.

He said the name, Natasha Akpoti, has become a household name and resonates through the length and breadth of the island and also akin to a national anthem, promising to ensure total victory for the SDP candidate.

Responding on behalf of the party, the State Secretary of the party, Dr. Okeme Arome, thank the good people of Ibaji reassuring them that Natasha/Khalid ticket will bring about the needed change in the land, urging them to continue to support the ticket wholeheartedly.

The deputy director general(DDG) campaign coordinator, Natasha/ Khalid ticket, Kogi East, Hon. Ismaila Yusuf Atumeyi, praised the unalloyed support of the people of Ibaji promising to work closely with them as they join hands to coast to victory.

The home of the founding father of SDP in Kogi East, Idah LGA, amongst other local government in Kogi East was also visited by the team.

The Natasha/Khalid campaign organization who had earlier commenced her appreciation and consultation tour in all the local government of Kogi state, visited the entire 21 local government of the State and their wards.

The campaign organisation had earlier explained that the party will start its campaign once the court make pronouncement on the alleged illegal disqualification of the party by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
