Dreams come true", she said.

Recall, In her speech at the sectoral debate on steel at the National Assembly in 2018, Akpoti explained that to achieve Ajaokuta steel revival, Nigeria must engage Russia who are the original builder of the steel company.

She had said, "I know many will talk about why am I promoting Russia, why am I not promoting China and India. With due respect to every country's steel capabilities, the greatest steel plant in China today and five of the biggest steel plants in India citing belayer for the twelve consecutive year has won the best steel plant in Asia was built by this same company. But why is a very big question, what has Russia done and why are we shy away from approaching the people who actually envisaged this dream for the completion?"
