Edward Onoja Sworn-in as Kogi Deputy Gov
Following the impeachment of Elder Simon Achuba, Kogi State House of Assembly, and the Chief Judge of Kogi State, Justice Nasir Ajanah have confirmed and sworn-in Mr David Edward Onoja respectively as the new Deputy Governor of Kogi State.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony, the Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt Hon Kolawole Matthew said the lawmakers performed a constitutional role by screening Onoja after they found Achuba guilty of the allegations against him.
"We deliberated and looked at the committee's report critically and found him guilty of those allegations against him. We have performed our constitutional role and found Onoja worthy as the new deputy governor of Kogi State," he said.
