Why Barr. Natasha H. Akpoti Should Represent Kogi Central District in the Senate Come 2019 | Alh. Umar Abdulqudus Okene
Kogi Central Senatorial District has over the years not been given the required attention in terms of infrastructural and human capacity development despite our representation in the Senate. Which means, adequate political WILL to facilitate such development to Kogi Central by our representives is lacking.
There is no doubt that the Nigeria's natural economic endowment situated in Kogi Central (IRON ORE and AJAOKUTA STEEL), which if our representatives had the political WILL, should cater for the long yearnings of infratructural and human capacity building the people of Kogi Central have been clamouring for.
It disheartening to the people, particularly from Kogi Central that our representatives; for two (2) decades now watch the Steel Industry that has been the major source of employment opportunity and which also created business opportunity for the people of Kogi Central, been neglected and even destroyed without any check.
Remember that the youths from Kogi Central that tried to stop such menace were brutalised, killed and got their houses burnt under the pretence of taking law into their own hands. Till today, the people of Kogi Central who were gainfully employed in the industry have lost their jobs, the business opportunity created by the industry were lost as well. If all our representatives in Senate had the political WILL, these promising youths would not get killed, their houses would remain, and the business opportunity would be revived to better the lots of Kogi Central people.
It is against these ugly instaces that Barrister Natasha H. Apoti painstakingly took up the brave chalłenge as a soul responsibility to fight against the injustice not only against the people of Kogi Central, but Nigerians at large.
Barr. Natasha Apoti took the fight for the revival of the Steel Industry to the corridors of power that be. As an ordinary indigene of Kogi Central, Natasha, a season lawayer and an advocate of the masses for good governance pushed further to the National Assembly chambers to liberate the poor masses from the continuous penury they have been for many years, which non of our past or the present representative could do for the masses.
Moreso, Barr. Natasha, having been recognised and loved by the masses in Kogi Central due the aforementioned selfless service to humanity, Governor Yahaya Bello honured our Noble Barr. Natasha to be part of the recent reconciliatory committee that met wih the aggrieved people of Kogi Central, which ofcourse yielded positive result.
If Natasha can achieve the above as an ordinary person, then imagine the enormouse infrastructural and human capacity development that will come to the people of Kogi Central if we elect Barr. Natasha H. Apoti to become the Distinguished Senator representing Kogi Central District in 2019?
It is no doubt in the minds of the masses in Kogi Central now that Barr. Natasha is the right choice that can bring sustainable development to our fatherland. Our education, health, roads, business opportunity will be given priority and our District will gradually be uplifed. Hunger will be wiped off through Natasha poverty eradication programme in the Central. Women and youth capacity building will also bring the unemployed youths into various self-owned micro businesses to support the efforts of the State Government.
My dear people of Kogi Central, let us be wise. Support Barr. Natasha H. Apoti who is already fighting for our positive development before now, to enable us enjoy and preserve better lots for our next generation.
