Thugs Allegedly Destroy Venue for Ihima Youth Summit, Go After Conveners
The much anticipated Ihima Youth Summit slated for Saturday has been invaded by thugs, and the lives of the conveners of the elite programme are in danger as the thugs are allegedly after them.
One of the organisers who was there at the point of attack and wished not to be mentioned alleged that the thugs are the known thugs of the Administrator of Okehi local government, Hon. Abdulraheem Ohiare.
He noted that the lives of the two conveners of the programme, Mr. Lawal Amba and Mr. Abduljabar are in danger as the thugs have lunched a man hunt for them.
According to him, the Administor of the local government has been wasting the council resources on frivolities, buying bikes and cars for thugs while he give infrastructural and human development a deaf ear, adding that he feared the youths are rising up against the ugly situation and he quickly sent his thugs to destroy the venue.
He pointed out that the state government had initially withdrew the security personnel from the venue before the thugs invaded the venue of the occasion.
Meanwhile, some of the conveners of the programme, Mr. Lawal Amba and Mr. Nasiru have been arrested by OKehi Division of Nigerian Police.
All efforts to reach the local government Police Public Relations Officer proved abortive and the reason for the arrest has not been known at the time of the press.
