Indigenes Block Entry Point To Ondo State To Avoid The Spread Of Coronavirus
Indigenes of Ondo State have taken a drastic measure to save themselves from the ravaging Covid-19 pandemic as they blocked entry point to the state.
According to eye witness, the indigenes blocked the entry point to the state by falling big trees to cross the road and other objects to disallow vehicular movement coming from Lagos into the state.
According to the source, the decision of the indigenes to take the measure themselves is unconnected to the death of the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, which made every doubting Thomas to believe in dangerous nature of Covid-19.
Recall that the state had earlier arrested corps with 50 buses of mourners going to Kogi state on the ground that they breached the state no entry order.
The Special Adviser on Transport to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, Mr. Tobi Ogunleye, had disclosed that the vehicle conveying the corps and the 50 buses of mourners that accompanied it violated the directive on the state curfew and entered the state illegally.
