Emotional Taraweeh Prayer Holds In Empty Kaaba In Mecca (Watch Video)

With the current coronavirus pandemic ongoing in the world, restriction has been placed on receiving worshipers across the world to the Islamic holiest site, the Masjid Haram where Kaaba is situated.



The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s King, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud had ealier approved the performing of a reduced version of Taraweeh prayers in the two Holy Mosques in Mecca and Medina while the suspension of entry of worshipers continued.

Mecca is usually busy during Ramadan as millions of Muslims across the globe visit the holy city for lesser Hajj known as Umrah.

This years, the story is totally different, only the scholars and workers in the mosque are allowed to hold prayer in the holy site. Kaaba which is usually crowded with millions of people is visibly empty which has brought tears to the eyes of many Muslims across the world.

Millioms of Muslims across the globe who had the plan of going for lesser Hajj during this Ramadan are forced to remain in their various countries as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia places travel ban on foreign countries and close down the holy sites.

Currently the Kingdom has 16,299 confirmed cases of Covid-19 with
136 death and has been fighting hard to curtail the further spreading of the disease, the reason the Kingdom has taken decisive measures to shutdown the holy sites.
