#KogiDecides: My Victory Is For Common Nigerians - Natasha
The Candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the November 16 governorship election in Kogi State, Barr Natasha Akpoti has described her victory at the Federal High Court which reversed the earlier disqualification of the SDP candidate by INEC as a victory for common Nigerians.
Akpoti made this known on Channels Television's "Politics Today" with Seun Okinbaloye.
Speaking on her victory, Akpoti said, "this is a victory for the entire Nigeria and the generation unborn. This means a whole lot, and it is a great victory.
"I really hope that INEC will comply. I'm being very positive that INEC will concead and accept that the judgment is binding on them" she said.
Expressing optimism of turning things around within the days left for campaigns, she said, "even though we have 9 days, I am like a movement for the people of Kogi State," she said.
Reacting, the Director of Publicity and Voter Education, Mr Oluwole Osaze Uzzi said, it is the culture of INEC to obey court rulings, but will not foreclose whether the commission will appeal the judgment till they hear from their counsels.
