Kogi Guber: PDP Cancels Kogi Central Campaign, Alleges Planned Attack By APC
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has cancelled its planned governorship campaign in Kogi Central, alleging the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has planned to attack them.
In a statement released by the Campaign council, it alleged that,
Ebira APC are determined to attack the convoy of Engr. Musa Wada at any point
The staetement reads:
"the Ebira APC are biting their fingers and are seriously determined to attack the convoy of Engr. Musa Wada at any point in the central today.
"The earlier arrangement was for the people's Democratic party, PDP to hold its zonal rally at Ajaokuta LGA today, the 9th, November, 2019, but information reaching us is that ; Yahaya Bello has arranged thugs and other chronic Ebira supporters to open fire at our convoy at any point in the central zone of Kogi state..
"It is with this sudden development and smear of danger for our teeming supporters that we now postpone open rallies for now, and to embark on door to door campaign in the said zone.
"To all our supporters in Okene, Ogorimagogo, Okehi, Adavi and Ajaokuta local government, We are sorry for the inconveniences this sudden change of plan might have caused you.
"We advise you to keep up the good work despite living in the territory of our general oppressor . we implore you to do more of sensitization on our people in that axis on the need to usher in a government that will work for the general interest of the masses come November 16th.
