Kogi Guber: Bello's Sudden Visit to Ajaokuta Steel, Public Deceit, Political Jamboree - SDP
The chairman of Kogi State chapter of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Alhaji Mouktar Atimah has described the sudden visit of Governor Yahaya Bello and his claim of the victory recorded on Ajaokuta steel as political jamboree and the height of deceit by the APC governorship candidate.
Addressing newsmen in Lokoja,
Atimah noted that it is quite unfortunate that the governor who wanted to take over Ajaokuta steel as his personal property through his alleged Ajaokuta Kogi Nigeria Ltd has suddenly realized that calling back the original builders which SDP governorship candidate, Barr Natasha Akpoti has been advocating for is the best option.
Atimah said, "without shame, the governor claimed his efforts resorted into the present achievement recorded on Ajaokuta steel.
"Has he forgotten so soon his Ajaokuta Kogi Nigeria Limited he wanted to use to take over the company which was foiled by our governorship candidate, Barr Natasha Akpoti, I don't think he has forgotten so soon how he fought Natasha Akpoti for her stand on calling back Russia, the original builders to complete the steel plant", he said.
Atimah maintained that, the governor should at least have the fear of God and stop the hide and seek game and use something else to campaign instead of the obvious lies while forgetting to give credit to Natasha Akpoti for her courageous fight that resorted to the current achievement.
"He has suddenly realized the strength of Ajaokuta and fixed his first visit to the steel company on the day of his rally in Ajaokuta just to deceive the people.
"Kogi people are wise enough to know who genuinely fought for the return of Russia to complete Ajaokuta and wouldn't be gullible to fall for the deception of the APC governorship candidate", he said.
