Birthday: Hon. Wahab Jimoh, A Hardwired Philanthropist Without Boundary
Gamaliel Bailey was right when he submitted that, “never respect men merely for their riches, but rather for their philanthropy; we do not value the sun for its height, but for its use”.
I've seen men of integrity coming out against all odds to speak the truth they know about Hon. Wahab Jimoh on the occasion of his birthday and it then occurred to me that, character is like smoke, which of course can't be covered or hidden, it will speak for itself and consciously or unconsciously people will attest to it even those who do not share the same school of thought.
It is on this premise, i join thousands of Hon. Wahab Jimoh's well-wishers and admirers to commend his giant strides, dedication and zest to give back to the society in the last couple of years.
As Abhijit Naskar, explained in his, "Making A World Without Borders", "The biggest tragedy is to think that the trouble of others is no loss of ours", the true essence of humanity is when we see others injury as ours, give them a helping hand solely for the sake of humanity.
In our current world where act of kindness sounds like a bad thing, beyond every other considerations, there is need to eulogies and encourage other men who are stocked with a lively conscience and in defiant of emerging societal belief where 'sacrifice' is seldomly done.
I totally agree with Mark Ogo'ogu's birthday message to Hon. Wahab Jimoh where he stated that, "the little assignment given to you, and few who benefit testify your charitable deed in the society and I say congratulations."
May I at this juncture join men of conscience to say a hearty congratulations and my prayer is that you find more reasons to do more of what you are being celebrated for.
