President Buhari receives 2018 Budget from NAS
The presidency on Friday evening confirmed that President Muhammadu Buhari has received the 2018 Appropriation Bill from the National Assembly.
The document was received by the president’s liaison officer to the Senate, Ita Enang.
Confirming the development, Senate president Bukola Saraki told State House correspondents Thursday evening that the bill, which is the 2018 budget, will be transmitted to the president for assent Friday.
Mr Enang confirmed to newsmen over the telephone that he has received the document and that
“it is with the president now”.
The two chambers of the Assembly passed the budget estimates on May 16.
The National Assembly raised the budget figure by N500 billion, from N8.6 to N9.1 trillion.
