2019: Obasanjo’s movement finally adopts political party
The Coalition of Nigeria Movement (CNM) formed by former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo, Thursday, announced that it has adopted a political party.
At a press conference, Mr Obasanjo announced that the movement had adopted “a renewed and reinvigorated African Democratic Congress, ADC.”
The former President, however, said he would not be a member of the ADC.
“The party, ADC, as I understand it, is neither based on the immediate past, condemnable records of PDP as a ruling party in Nigeria nor on the present disastrous and destabilising performance of APC. It is a new platform and a new page in our political history.”
