Natasha Assures Kogi Youths of Collaborative Efforts with the State Govt on Ajaokuta Steel Rescusitaion - Hamza Lamisi

Barr. Natasha Hadiza Akpoti has assured Kogi Youths of a healthy collaboration with government at the state and federal level to ensure that Ajaokuta steel company is revived for the people.

Natasha made this known on Friday while playing host to Kogi State youths under the auspices of Kogi Youths Congress calling Natasha to collaborate with Governor Yahaya Bello for Ajaokuta rescusitaion. Natasha stated that Ajaokuta's course is beyond any individual or political party and all hands must be on deck to achieve the best for the poeple. She reaffirmed that political will must be summoned by the Kogi State and federal government towards actualising the dream of a functioning Ajaokuta steel company.

"It is a dream we should all be passionate about irrespective of our socio-political affiliations. Whether you are in APC, PDP, Labour Party or any other political party, what matters is unity that bring about progress especially on the rescusitaion of the moribund steel company.

While Governor Yahaya Bello is ready to take the bull by its horn, I shall work closely with him to ensure that the best is achieved even beyond Ajaokuta Steel. I honour the Governor's position and I believe in what our collaboration can yield economically and socio-politically for the good people of Kogi State. Hunger or poverty knows no individual or political party. We must feel our pains together and smile together whenever the joy comes."

Natasha equally maintained that she is not going to forfeit the goal of Ajaokuta for any self benefit. "I won't compromise on the standards we have set for this struggle, the people and the purpose will remain key to our interest in any step we shall take as we follow up with the dynamics of the course. Whatever we do in this journey we owe it to ourselves and to our future" Natasha added.

Speaking earlier, the leader of the Youth Congress, Cmr. Samari Zakari thanked Natasha for all her efforts to emancipate the youths of Kogi state and Nigeria at large. She described Natasha as a resilient fighter who God has ordained to rescue her people from sufferings and pains through the revival of Ajaokuta Steel Company.

"You are our hero and we are so much proud of you. You have done a lot for Ajaokuta and we appeal to you to remain focused on the goal. We have met with Governor Yahaya Bello and he assured us that he will work with you on this struggle. We equally call on you to in our interest, close rank with him and strategize together on how Ajaokuta Steel will be achieved.

"You are not just fighting for the Ebiras or Kogi people alone but you are fighting for the entire Nigeria and history will live to remember you. Like we have Queen Amina of Zaria you are the Queen Natasha of Ebira and Kogi state."

In the same vein, the deputy national cordinator of the congress, Cmr. Isah Bilqis Ahuoiza commended the effort of Natasha Akpoti in standing firm for the people. "We need people like you as our representatives at all level of government. With a resilient representative like you at the National Assembly and the Governor at the state level, all pushing for the same goal, the dream of Ajaokuta will be achieved easier and faster. Time is too precious to waste and once its lost it can never be gotten back. We must take advantage of this golden time to attract the best projects to the state. We are calling on you to come and represent us as our next senator in Kogi Central Senatorial District. She added.

In appreciation of the effort of Barr. Natasha Akpoti, an award of excellence was presented to her as a resilient social reformer.

  1. That's why when these type of people are talking, take it with a pinch of salt. Is it not you Natasha that said Bello conspired with Fayemi to register an unqualified private company to take over Ajaokuta steel for peanuts? How come Bello is now the on your side? Have you made him a believer? I never understate the softer skills of women. SMH
