Natasha resounds commitment to serve humanity, settles 600 pupils' tuition fee
The founder of Builders Hub Impact Investment Program, Barrister Natasha Akpoti has resounded her commitment to serve humanity, settling tuition fee of 600 pupils she adopted their primary education last year.
Natasha who was spurred by her penchant for education; the need for an average Nigerian to have education and to demonstrate the lesson taught by her father decided to adopt 600 pupils' tuition fee in 2016 in commemoration of her late father, Dr. Jimoh Abdul Akpoti who died on the 3rd November, 1998.
Speaking at the occasion of the adoption of the 600 pupils' education in 2016, in her lecture titled "Lessons from my father" Natasha enjoined parents as well as the pupils and students to harness their talents properly as she placed much premium on talents than academic qualifications.
Earlier this year, the philanthropist provided school bags for the 600 children and opened mini library and set of desktop computer totalling 22 at the Builders Hub Community Learning Resource Center where the children could be trained.
She topped the kind gestures when she charged her team of volunteered youths to commence the exercise of paying the tuition fee of the 600 pupils among whom are 278 orphans for the year 2017/ 2018 academic session.
Narrating his experience during the exercise, one of the volunteered youths, Muhammed Abdulmajid relayed to ConfluenceReporters that, "I couldn't help but shed tears when an orphan student who has lost both of his parents stood in front of me for his data verification.
"Tears dropped as I asked him about his parents, he said they are all gone and I have nobody to cater for me.
"I don't no when tears started to drop from my eyes, but I assured him that we are here to pay your school fees and Barrister Natasha Akpoti is your new parent, " he said
While appreciating the humanitarian service of Natasha, the Head Mistress of LGEA Primary School Udi 'Oyivo, Mrs Suleiman Hawa said, "we don't know how to appreciate Barrister Natasha Akpoti than to continue praying for her. Some of these children here have lost their both parents, without this kind gesture I don't think there's any way they would have been able to pay the school fee. Some of them have stopped coming to school because they couldn't pay their school fee, but we will send for them to inform them that their new mother has settled their school fee, " she said
