Assassins on rampage: Two killed in Okene
An unknown gunmen suspended to be assassins have killed two people in Osuwaya area of Okene local government of Kogi State.
According to a resident of the area, "two armed men came to asuwa on foot around 8:00pm and worked towards the mosque where Mallam Abdulmumin; a community leader and Mall. Ibrahim were performing ablution and open fire on them.
"They died on the spot before they could be taken to hospital. There was black out during the time the incidence took place and we could not trace the killers," he said.
It will be recalled that a man identified as Abdulganiu Aduki was murdered along side his wife and daughter on Tuesday by an unknown gunmen suspended to be assassins. Aduki and his family who were murdered at his private residence at Inori Street of Nagazi area of Adavi local government area of Kogi State, were met in a pool of blood without any of his properties taken to suggest their killers were robbers.
This is happening as the state government beef up the security in Ebiraland with men of Nigerian soldiers stationed in strategic places.
