SDP Has No Faction in Kogi – Sani Idakwo

A chieftain of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Kogi State, Hon. Sani Idakwo Philips has reiterated that his party, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has no faction in the State.

Speaking with newsmen in Lokoja, the Kogi state capital, Idakwo stated that the Chairman of the party known to him and other genuine members across the 21 local government areas of the state is Alh. Mouktar Atimah.

Idakwo urged members of the public to disregard news of a factional chairman of the party in the state as it is the figment of the imaginations of those who wishes to misinform and mislead the general public.

On the November 16 gubernatorial elections, Idakwo hinted that the SDP is seriously strategizing on how to rescue the state from the current mess created by the APC led state government without making unnecessary noise.

When asked whether or not the party will field candidate for the gubernatorial election, Idakwo responded that the SDP will not only field a candidate but a credible and capable one who will win the election with a landslide victory.

Idakwo admonished all members of the party in the state to keep faith with the party, believe in themselves and work hard in their various local governments, wards and polling units in the coming election.
